In the OASIS 4 clinical trial, people taking the 25 mg tablet alongside diet and exercise lost an average of 13.6% of their body weight over 64 weeks.
How do you take the Wegovy pill?
Take one tablet each morning on an empty stomach, swallowed whole with a sip of water (no more than half a glass). Then wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking anything else or taking other tablets, so your body can absorb it properly. Don’t split, crush or chew it. There are no needles. Your pack comes with full instructions, and your Bloomwell care team can help with any questions.
What is the Wegovy pill's dosing?
Wegovy dosing starts out low, then gradually increases over the first few months until a steady dose is reached. If prescribed, a clinician will work with you to find the schedule and dosing that’s right for you. You start on 1.5 mg once a day for 30 days, then step up to 4 mg, then 9 mg, each for 30 days, before reaching the 25 mg maintenance dose. Your clinician may keep you on a dose for longer if you need it. This will depend upon your specific situation and your provider’s guidance.
